It's like Christmas!

Visited the shop for the rundown of the needed repair and grabbed up a parts list.

It was a pretty full list of stuff.

Upper and lower ball joints for both sides. Funny note, well not so funny as a pain the ass. The driver side upper ball joint is rivetted to the control arm, so instead of replacing the ball joint, we replace the whole assembly. Probably should have just done the same on the passengers side. There's a single tie rod end in there, but the shop says the rack and pinion, hoses, and pump are suspect. I expect that to need more parts, so I am asking the shop to source the parts instead of hunting them down myself.

Full exhaust from manifold to bumper (including 02 sensors), direct fit catalytic converter, cat back dual exhaust.

Brake power booster, as the one on the truck is bad, along with the check valve. I couldn't remember if they needed the master cylinder or not, so will let them source that part if they need it.

Drivability/performance concern gets a full Summit/Accel Tune up kit, fuel pump (as the truck has been sitting and the regulator is shot), serpentine belt, tensioner, and guide pully. There's also a throttle body to manifold gasket in there, as they said that was shot as well.

I will also have shop order oil pan gaskets and whatever else is needed to solve a couple of smaller oil leaks. They'll be fully removing the exhaust, so that should make getting to the pan that much easier.

Shop also told me that the reverse lights aren't working, so will have them run that down. Could be a bad fuse, or neutral safety switch, so will add that to my tally of stuff to get repaired. They mentioned some of the connectors under the hood need to be repaired, so will have then do that as well.

I'll do shocks front and back and get them to give me a solid review of the brake condition once the booster is replaced. If those need done, I will order a PowerStop kit for front and back. Oh, and a box of new lug nuts to replace the ones that are missing.

I will order the shocks once I have the truck home, just to make sure we have a solid suspension going forward. I will also be ordering the cold air intake kit, and starting the external work on the truck, once it's home.
